Reynolds Family Winery

|
In bright, incandescent yellow, mustard flowers blanket Napa Valley vineyards every year, welcoming visitors to experience this remarkable winemaking region. For the Reynolds Family Winery the flower we use on our labels is a symbol of the Napa Valley and the distinctive growing seasons. Reynolds Family Winery is a small, family owned and operated winery that specializes in limited production of handcrafted premium Cabernet Sauvignon. With strong determination and hard work, we renovated an old, 14-acre ranch, planted 10 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and built a charming 7,000 square foot winery facility and tasting room. Reynolds Family Winery is at the foot of the Stags Leap District, in the proposed Silverado Bench appellation - an area known for producing rich and complex wines. While following the Napa Valley paradigm of excellence by tradition, Reynolds Family Winery also seeks new standards and styles through innovation. We start with the meticulous vineyard practices. It is through careful selection of cover crops, balancing the vine canopy and dramatically reducing the fruit yield that we create intense colors and flavors. We create brilliant, fruit forward wines through the classic style of small, hand-punch down bin fermentation, but also add depth and complexity through newer rack and return tank techniques. Barrels are a blend of predominately French handcrafted cooperage with a mix of select Italian, Hungarian and aged American Oak. The Reynolds Family Winery vision is to produce bold and expressive wines that achieve a new sense of extraordinary taste. We are compelled to create excellence with experimentation using different yeast, clones, vines, barrels, bins and tanks. The artisan winemaking techniques emphasize rich body and intense varietal flavors.
