  2000 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
This special release was made primarily from hand-selected grapes from our Howell Mountain vineyard, one of Napa Valley's most prestigious mountain top appellations, and Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley’s floor. Deep burgundy in color with rich flavors of blackberries, Bing cherries, strawberry jam, black olives, and toasty oak. Along with dry, chalky tannins, this wine finishes with a hint of anise, tobacco, spice, and pepper.
  ÆROS Cabernet Sauvignon
In this 2003 ÆROS Cabernet from Goosecross, we have combined exquisite art and unique bottle design with the artistry of extraordinary winemaking, culminating in a stunning wine from the Napa Valley. Initially forged by a jeweler, the ÆROS label, unveiled with vintage 1992, is made of nickel and copper and was the first metal label in the industry. Vintage 2003 is the fifth Cabernet produced by Goosecross as a part of this Limited Production Collector Series of luxury wines under the ÆROS label. Only 230 cases produced.
  AmerItal
This Supertuscan blend of 75% Sangiovese and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon resulted in a rich and flavorful wine, with deep ruby-garnet color. Fragrant on the nose, showing elegant cherry and plum tones with licorice, fennel, sweet raisin, and hints of cocoa. Medium weight on the palate and smooth in texture, with appealing fruit and spice and lovely balance. The finish is chalky dry and smoky with lingering flavors of currant, mint and dried herbs.
  Howell Mountain Cabernet
This classic Cabernet is from Howell Mountain, one of Napa Valley's most prestigious mountaintop appellations. With an elegant nose of blackberry, cherry, pomegranate, dried herbs and spices, this wine is bold and balanced. Red cherry and strawberry flavors are found throughout with a whisper of vanilla oak lingering on the palate. It finishes with dry, dusty and chalky tannins.
  Lake County Chenin Blanc
Chenin Blanc isn’t showcased much here in California these days, but in Vouvray, a particularly picturesque town in the Loire Valley of France, it’s been treasured for centuries for its exquisite floral character. Our winemaker, Geoff Gorsuch, immediately thought of Chenin Blanc as the variety of choice when he contemplated making a slightly sweet white wine. When asked why he chose to produce a variety that is not as well known as some others, he commented that “It has all that beautiful melon and honeysuckle character and a touch of sweetness accentuates it. It’s the best choice for the style of wine I want to create and it’s the perfect complement to our line of dry whites.”
  Lake County Sauvignon Blanc
This release of our 2005 Sauvignon Blanc marks a change in style and a new vineyard location for Goosecross. Looking for a vibrant Loire Valley style, our winemaker Geoff Gorsuch enlisted the help of Bob Pepi who is recognized industry wide as an innovator and pioneer in the production of fine Sauvignon Blanc and who readily admits a partiality to the variety. Together they located a wonderful vineyard in the hills just north of Napa Valley and went to work. They harvested the Sauvignon Blanc at slightly lower sugars than most other varieties to retain the clean, racy acidity. The wine was fermented slowly, at low temperatures to accentuate the fresh grapefruit, melon and citrus blossom.
  Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
The growing season of vintage 2001 will long be remembered as a fantastic harvest! However, “Mother Nature played her tricks and gave me a lot to manage in the vineyard… but she came through in the end,” remarked Geoff Gorsuch, our winemaker.
  Napa Valley "Estate" Chardonnay
Clean and crisp, the culmination of this 100% Chardonnay blend is an intense fully ripe fruit character of pink grapefruit, banana, apple, tangerine, pineapple, pear and vanilla almond toasted oak. The nose carries forward tropical fruit aromas with a hint of fresh lemon citrus. This is a well-balanced wine with complex body and structure. When cellared properly, this vintage can be enjoyed for several years from release date. Goosecross is not just another Chardonnay!
  Napa Valley "Oak Knoll" Viognier
Viognier isn’t widely grown outside of its ancestral home in the Rhone Valley of southern France. A limited fruit yielding variety, it was relatively unknown here in California until the early 1990s and the acreage still remains limited due to the difficulty of cultivation. For Geoff Gorsuch, our winemaker, the low yields and viticultural challenges are offset by Viognier’s exotic apricot and spice. He comments that he “…just can’t pass it up, no matter the yield. The aromatics are irresistible. It’s such a seductive wine—luscious and delicate at the same time.”
  Napa Valley Merlot
This full, complex wine blossoms in ripe berry, plum, and cherry on the nose, then boasts a beautiful array of soft spicy oak, bold berry and jammy strawberry flavors, with a hint of clove and a generous mouth-feel. Lingering flavors of oak and berry, highlighted by medium tannins, finish the palate on an elegant frame. Also available in 375ml half bottles. Half bottles provide two glasses of wine -- perfect for picnics.
  Napa Valley Merlot
As always our Merlot is fruit forward and lush on the palate. The vineyard is a little south of the winery on the east side of the valley where the afternoon sun brings out aromas of ripe cherry and raspberry. Elegant and richly textured with flavors of juicy blackberry, vanilla and clove, the wine finishes with subtle, toasty oak and soft, supple tannins.
  Napa Valley Pinot Noir
A new varietal for Goosecross! This brilliant ruby-garnet hued wine comes from the Napa Carneros appellation, quite well known for its superior Pinot Noir fruit. The nose offers floral notes and effusive aromas of crushed berries (raspberry, cherry, red currant and black currant) followed by smoky almond and spice. On the palate, this wine is full of charm and very pleasant to drink: fresh and fruity berry flavors with light and elegant tannins.
  South Coast Syrah
Syrah is the basis for the great reds of the Northern Rhone; as an ingredient in blends, it contributes much of the character and aging potential for wines of the Southern Rhone. This "Old World" style Syrah presents expansive black cherry fruit, ruby red color and a very aromatic nose of wild raspberry and plum. Each sip finishes with hints of berries, licorice, dried herbs, brown sugar, toasted almond and vanilla. Excellent from beginning to end, soft, smooth and full-bodied.
  Sparkling Rosé
Our Sparkling Rosé is made from 79% Chardonnay from the Carneros region and 21% Zinfandel from State Lane, here in Yountville. The wine was very briefly barrel aged for a touch of richness, then carefully blended to reach the right balance of luscious fruit and elegant structure. Geoff describes it as “sparkling table wine”, recognizing its vinous, more full-bodied character than you’ll find in some sparkling wines.
  Yountville "State Lane" Zinfandel
This superb wine represents our second Yountville appellation Zinfandel. Harvested from the Tiedemann Ranch vineyard on State Lane in Yountville. The nose of this dark garnet Zin is rife with black cherry, spicy peppers, toasty oak and raspberry. Initial flavors run wild with cherry and strawberry jam while each sip finishes with a touch of oak garnished with pepper. This Zin has zip! A full-flavor, opulent Zinfandel.
