Blue Mountain Vineyards

Blue Mountain Vineyards Blue Mountain's winery is a bit unusual since the tasting room is quite large & very California style with lots of open beams and windows. A state of the art tankroom is directly below the tasting room. An observation area looks down into impressive oak barrels. An all season deck which is completely glassed in provides panoramic views of the Blue Mountains, the vineyards and ponds. In 1998 the Greffs purchased a second farm one of the oldest in northern Lehigh county. The new location is called Leaser Vineyard. Plans are proceeding for a bed and breakfast and tasting room at this site. A bit of history ties the New Tripoli and Leaser properties together. The Greffs have a copy of a deed between William Penn and the Reitz family naming a certain parcel of land from New Tripoli to Kempton and it was called Vineyard Manor! Interesting how history makes a full circle. Hours: Monday-Sunday 11-6

From I-78, take Rt. 100 North 9 miles to Rt. 309 North. Go 1¼ miles, then turn left on Rt. 143. Go ¼ mile into New Tripoli. Follow signs onto Madison St. and go 1 mile to winery.

  Blue Heron Meritage
Meritage® symbolizes the winemakers blending the classic Bordeaux grape varieties. This Red Meritage® is made from 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Franc grapes all grown in our vineyards. The free run of these grapes were fermented separately, blended together, and aged in new French oak barrels for 12 months.
  Bri's Blush
Attractive pink hue, with a clean fresh and fruity aroma. “Zin” with Zip!
  Cabernet Franc
Medium bodied, soft on the palate, with aromas of cherry and blackberry and a hint of black pepper, with a long smooth and spicy finish.
  Cabernet Sauvignon
Appealing aromas of cherry, plums and vanilla, with a lingering oak finish. Aged and fermentedin French Oak.
A blend of 82% Chambourcin, 18% Shiraz, this full bodied rich red wine was aged and fermented in French Oak.
  Chambourcin Reserve
A blend of 85% Chambourcin, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Merlot, aged and fermented in French Oak.
  Chardonnay Reserve
Medium bodied, rich and complex withflavors of vanilla, green apple, pear and pineapple, balanced by firm acidity with a smooth lingering finish. Fermented and aged in French Oak.
(Pacific Rim International Bronze Award!) Vidal Blanc grapes are left untouched on the vines under protective netting until the deep freeze of winter and are picked at night in early February. Due to the highly concentrated juice the yield is very low. A delicious nectar, apricot and honey on the palate, with a very smooth finish. Serve very cold.
Medium Bodied, soft on the palate, with aromas of cherry, plums and vanilla with a long smooth finish.
  Mountain Frost
Fresh and fruity aromas, very sweet and smooth on the palate, can be enjoyed as a dessert wine!
  Mountain Spice
Aromas of apple and cinnamon, six varieties of apples deliciously blended into a semi-dry wine. Can be enjoyed cold or heated.
  Pinot Grigio
Semi-dry, crisp, light bodied, delicate on the palate with aromas of pears, apples & mellon.
  Red Horizon
A delicious sweet wine with the distinctaroma of grapes. Great with dessert!
Intense fruity nose, refreshingly semi-dry, with a long lingering finish. Our 2000 Riesling was an international silver award winning wine!
A blend of concord and natural fruit juices of strawberry, red raspberry, & cherry.
A blend of Shiraz and Petite Syrah. Dry, full bodied with appealing aromas of raspberry and black currant with a hint of black pepper on the palate. Aged and fermented in French Oak barrels.
  Victoria's Passion
A delicate semi-sweet wine with the aroma of cherry and raspberry. Very good with pasta; excellent with chocolate desserts.
  Vidal Blanc
Crisp, light bodied, dry white wine, apple on the palate with a verysmooth fnish!
Intense fruity nose, refreshingly semi-sweet, with a long lingering finish.
