The talented gentlemen that crafted Muddy Boot Wine have outdone themselves this time. Introducing Silt Wine Company: sophisticated, polished, proud to promote Clarksburg, whose mission is to help you enjoy Clarksburg as much as we do.
We are blessed to be a part of the Clarksburg AVA and we want to showcase the grapes and the wines that are produced here. What you'll taste from every bottle is a combination of the passion of the Clarksburg farmer, the gift that the Delta soil brings, and a promise to never hide the fruit behind the process.

Charbono
This wonderful and rare grape has been tended by the Frediani Family for generations. Located just south of the town of Calistoga along the Silverado Trail, this late ripening variety benefits from its rocky soil and very warm home in northern Napa Valley. The vines, even the youngest, are very old. The grapes from the Frediani Vineyard have proven this to be the very best Charbono growth. The vintage of 2004 produced a very dark wine (Charbono means carbon), a powerfully perfumey varietal aroma, and a mouthfeel of fruit with long lingering aftertastes. 296 cases produced.

Gamay Noir
The grapes are grown in a tiny half-acre vineyard of Gamay, wrapped around our all-gravity hillside winery, at the north end of Dry Creek Valley. Extremely limited production - 70 cases (840 bottles) for sale.

Sangiovese
Our third vintage of Sangiovese is showing the spice and wonderful depth of flavor from Ray Teldeschi’s Home Ranch. Ray’s instinctive and knowledgeable grape growing has produced fruit with great varietal intensity. Lovely bright aromas with a good, long aftertaste, our wine is just what a Sangiovese should be. 347 cases produced.

Syrah
The Syrah is proof positive of the wonderful pedigree of Ray Teldeschi’s vineyard. The Syrah highlights the spicy aromas that this special soil gives to grapes grown on the eastern bench vineyard in Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County. The growing season of 2003 produced wine that is bigger, darker and fruitier than the previous two vintages. We used about 25% new French and Hungarian barrels to add some fun flavors to the wine. 776 cases produced
