Parry Cellars

Parry Cellars Parry Cellars, Napa Valley's smallest single vineyard winery, is proud to offer you our finest cabernet sauvignon wine (granted, it is our only wine). The wine comes from our family owned vineyard on the east side of the Silverado Trail, north of the town of St. Helena. This single vineyard, reserve bottled 100% cabernet is grown on rocky soil studded with obsidian. Depending upon Mother Nature, our small vineyard averages three tons of grapes each year, resulting in a limited release. The vines, lovingly hand tended and stressed by the rocky soils, close spacing and an exceptional microclimate, annually produce around 200 cases of a rich, elegant, fruity cabernet. Our wine is a labor of love that we are sure you will enjoy now and in the future.

  Cabernet Sauvignon
The release of our third vintage, Parry Cellars 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon, is like visiting our home in St. Helena. In one sip, you feel the warm sunshine on the grapes, smell the aroma of harvest and savor the elegance of ripe fruit. This year?s harvest produced another elegant, well-balanced cabernet with loads of fruit and soft, silky tannins. The wine has an intense deep garnet color and aromas of lush boysenberry, blueberry, and pomegranate with softer layers of cedar, smoke, currant and nutmeg. On the mouth, you are greeted with a soft, sweet velvety entry leading into a weighty mid-palate filled with juicy berry flavors. The long, lingering finish is filled with ripe cassis and berries. The wine was aged 18 months in new French (38%), American (12%) and Hungarian (12%) and once used French (38%) oak barrels before being bottled without fining or filtration. We are sure you will enjoy this wine now or after bottle aging for a few years.
  Cabernet Sauvignon
Beginning with this vintage, we are aging our wine in 100% French oak barrels (50% new / 50% once-used for 17 months) because we’ve learned they best complement our wine’s bright fresh fruit with the subtle flavors of oak, vanilla and chocolate. You may also notice a little sediment in our 2002 cab, as we bottle without fining and filtration to preserve the true beauty of our fruit. We are sure you will enjoy this wine now or after bottle aging for a few years.
