Silver Coast Winery Welcome to Silver Coast Winery, home to Coastal North Carolina's premier producer of premium wines. We are just 15 minutes inland from the beach, and our vineyard and winery are set on 40 acres, surrounded by lush woods. We are the only winery in the neighborhood, and our lovely setting is the perfect place to learn about wines, share a peaceful picnic with friends, enjoy art by local artists or stage a festive event. We welcome you to visit our vineyard, tour our winery and taste our wines in our beautiful tasting room. We have wines available for purchase by the glass or by the bottle.Your hosts at Silver Coast Winery are John and Maryann Azzato. We combine our passion for fine wine with a deep desire to share good wines with friends and guests. We want to invite you to share the things we love most: the beauty of nature, the warmth of friendship and the goodness of wonderful wine. We're open Monday - Saturday from 11am to 6pm and on Sunday from noon to 5pm.

Directions
We are located in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. Find Highway 904 where it crosses Rt 17, about 8 miles from the South Carolina border going north towards Shallotte. Take Rt. 904 West two miles to Russtown Road. Turn right. Go 1.5 miles to Barbeque Road and turn right. Follow the road to the end. You will come to the Silver Coast Winery.

  American Oak Chardonnay
Light oak nose, hints of guava, pineapple and spice. Tastes of grapefruit and apple with a delightful pear finish. Great with shellfish, pasta aioli and New England Chowders.2003 Bronze Medal - NC State Fair Wine Competition. Technical notes: 100% Chardonnay. 1.0% residual Sugar Sangiovese: 100% Sangiovese. 0.5% residual sugar.
  Barbera
Flavors of ripe plum and soft fruit, underscored by a crisp acidic note and a hint of earth. This charming wine is set in a supple texture, supported by sweet, soft tannins, and finishes with hints of licorice and pepper. Aged 12 months in oak gives a pleasant smoky taste. Complements Italian cuisine beautifully! Technical Notes: 85% Barbera, 15% Merlot. 0.25% residual sugar.
  Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine of great character, the aristocrat of the wine world, with a superb, strong structure. It is a very deep-colored red wine with intensely complex fruit flavors and an essential black currant fruit character. Our premium Cabernet Sauvignon is richly textured with a beautiful balance of berries and herbs. The grape itself has a fairly neutral personality, and thus the winemaker's job is to define the taste of the wine. 2003 Honorable Mention - NC State Fair Wine Competition.Technical Notes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 0.5% residual sugar.
  Cape Fear Blood Wine (Touriga)
Ruby Red in color. Aromas of strawberry, red raspberry and oak. This red has cherry, spice, strawberry and oak on the palate with a delightful short, peppery finish. Aged 5 months in oak. 2003 Bronze Medal - Tasters Guild International Wine Lovers Consumer Competition. 2003 Silver Medal - NC State Fair Wine Competition. Technical notes: 81% Touriga, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot,6% Mourvedre. 0.5% residual sugar.
  Chardonnay
Medium straw in color. Aromas of oak and tropical fruit. Light and crisp with a grapefruit finish and a hint of green apple. Great when paired with seafood and creamy pasta dishes!
  Holiday Red Table Wine
This seasonal sipper shows some real nice fleshy cherry fruit. Also has nice toasted plum qualities with some hints of cinnamon. A nice wine to enjoy next to the fireplace or whilst hanging stockings with care!
  Merlot
Merlot is loved for its soft, gentle, accessible nature. Dark, rich and full-bodied, Merlot is easy to drink and a delight to discover. It has a deep, rich red color, low tannin levels and a high alcohol count. Merlot is a deeply sensuous wine, very rich and full of lovely plum and chocolate aromas and flavors. Technical Notes: 100% Merlot. .25% residual sugar.
  Premium Oak Chardonnay
Soft oak, honey and banana nose. Tastes of spice and green apple with a hint of butter. Delightful citrus finish. Truly a most outstanding wine.   Reserve Merlot
Rich, full bodied flavors of rasberry and plum lead to a lingering finish of vanilla and black cherries. Deep blackberry aromas with sweet smokey oak notes pairs well with beef venison and lamb dishes. Artwork by Katy Lizabeth.
  Rose
A crisp, fruity style that exhibits multiple layers of berry and tropical fruit flavors. A complex blend of grapes with a slightly sweet, medium body. Ideal for sipping or when paired with appetizers, sharp cheeses and smoked meats. Artwork by Marry Elizabeth Owens. Another vintage of this wine will be available shortly.
  Sangiovese
Caramel aroma, light to medium body, with a light, fresh flavor. Hints of ripe cherries and spice. Light peppery finish. Great with cheese, antipasto and lighter Italian cuisine. Aged 6 months in oak. Artwork by Kevin Taylor.
  Seyval Blanc
Delicate, smooth and crisp with hints of pineapple and apricot. Great with creamy cheeses and light meals.

  Viognier
A very clean, crisp and austere example of this elegant grape variety. Nuances of jasmine and honeysuckle flowers marry seamlessly with white peach and melon fruit.
  White Merlot
Shimmering Rose in color. Complex aromas of cinnamon, raspberry, strawberry and rhubarb with a hint of grass. Tastes of cinnamon and raspberry with a medium spicy finish. Delightful as a dessert wine, add fresh peaches for a great dessert. Technical Notes: 85% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Sangiovese. 3.0% residual sugar.
