Fireside Winery

Fireside Winery Fireside Winery is the culmination of our life-long dream to pass our farm and our family’s land heritage on to our children. As Iowa farmers whose ancestors tilled the very land on which we live and work today, it has been our hope to offer our children the agricultural legacy that has defined our family for four generations. Our farm has always been a place that has fulfilled our family, where our work bonds us and the harvest sustains us, just as it has for the previous generations that have called this farm “home.”

  Blû
Easily recognized by its striking cobalt blue bottle, our Blû is a light, crisp, semi-sweet white wine that starts out smooth and ends with a crisp, refreshing finish. This fun, easy-drinking wine is a blend of Geisenheim and Seyval Blanc, and shows inviting flower and fruit overtones of violet, pear, and peach. Serve slightly chilled on a quiet summer afternoon with light picnic fare, or all by itself.
  CoCo
This Cabernet Sauvignon jumps out of the glass with aromas of blackcurrant, plums, and just a hint of violet. On the palate this juicy wine explodes with flavors of black cherry, ripe plums, and blackcurrant. finishes bold yet smooth, with soft tannins that leaves you asking for more. Beef tenderloin served with an onion horseradish sauce would be a nice compliment to a bottle of CoCo.
  Cordovan
Our version of Zinfandel also contains 10% Malbec. Understated aromas of black fruit, with hints of green pepper, and dried herbs greet your nose as you first meet this wine. On the palate the soft tannins melt to expose deep black fruit notes, cherry and blackcurrant. Cordovan is a well balanced wine with great fruit character showing off all that Zinfandel can be. We believe Cordovan is an excellent wine to be enjoyed by itself however, it could also be delicious along side a dish of pasta marinara, or with peppercorn beef medallions.
