Products

  Blanc de Noir
Blanc de Noir is made from Pinot Noir free-run juice using the traditional Methode Champenoise technique. Extremely dry with a subtle fruit character. Great with almost any light food, especially popcorn.
  Cabernet Franc
Cabernet Franc is a new red wine variety for Michigan, and it seems to have found a new home. The nose is greeted with powerful blackcherry and cherry fruit characters with a hint of vanilla from the barrel aging. These rich fruit flavors follow onto the palate where the soft tannins add backbone and structure to this elegant wine. Here is a fabulous wine, designed to complement foods containing garlic and herbs like basil or thyme, and we have found that it really goes great with Chocolate Biscotti for a simple dessert (e-mail us for the recipe).
  Capriccio
Capriccio is a big, soft red wine that has the ideal balance between fruitiness and dryness. If you were to age a big red wine the end result would be, "big jammy berry fruit flavor", with a subtle backbone of tannin. We've designed this wine so you don't have to wait five years to enjoy a great glass of red wine. Winner of Best in Show at the Michigan State Fair 1999.
  Chancellor
Chancellor is an opulent barrel-aged red wine, bursting with raspberry, and blackcherry that complex into a beautiful nose with a hint of oak. Blackcherry, ripe raspberries, and blackberry flavors combine with a medium-strong tannin backbone that tails into a medium-long finish. Serve this wine at room temperature with heartier fare, such as game, red meats, and flavorful sauces.
  Chardonel
The nose of Chardonel leans toward a complexity of oak, peaches, tropical fruit, and a touch of muskmelon. This full-bodied wine exhibits light toasty oak, ripe apple and pear flavors that finish strong all the way to the end. The mid-palate is crisp with only a hint of butter, which makes this European style dry white wine a great choice for chicken, pork and vegetables. Serve at room temperature to slightly chilled. This is a new grape variety, having been developed as a cross between Chardonnay and Seyval at Cornell University in New York in the mid 1950’s.
  Chardonnay
Chardonnay is light gold in color and dry with a slightly crisp finish. The nose is bursting with the scent of ripe apples with undertones of vanilla and butterscotch. Soft, delicious apple flavors melt on the palate with a clean, crisp fruit finish. This wine is reminiscent of a fine French Chablis, with plenty of fruit and a balanced acidity that allows this wine to pair well with food. Serve with white meats and white cream sauces. This wine saw almost no contact with wooden barrels, resulting in a wine that emphasizes the fruit character of the grape.
  Cherry Wine
A semi-dry natural Cherry wine that tastes like a fresh cherry pie. Serve chilled with a chocolate dessert.
  Classic Port
A light port made in the traditional port method. This dessert wine is a blend of barrel aged port wines made from Chancellor, Chambourcin and Foch. This "northern grown port" exhibits strong fruit character and a lighter body that makes it perfect with sweet dessert foods such as chocolate or raspberry based confections and tortes, or with soft cheeses such as a fine brie. To capture and enjoy the intense fruit of this wine, serve at cool room temperature in a glass with a large globe and a narrow opening.
  Demi-Sec Champagne
Demi-Sec Champagne is a lightly sweet version of the Premier Cuvee.
  Dry Riesling
The Dry Riesling has lemony citrus and apple blossom in the nose. The taste follows with apricots and apples with a hint of lemon in the finish. Medium crisp finish. Our Dry Riesling wines usually peak at three years and should be drunk by the time it attains the age of five years. Serve with fish, shellfish, and foods having moderate seasoning.
  Edelzwicker
Edelzwicker literally means noble blend. It is premium blend of Riesling and Traminette. This blend originated in the Alsace region of northeastern France and is a great example of a high quality blend grown and produced in the Lake Michigan Shore Appellation.
  Gewürztraminer
Gewürztraminer has plenty of spice and fruit. The aroma is a citrus-spice with clove and green apple. The mouthfeel is soft with a citrus-spice character that finishes with honey and cedar. Serve with spicy foods such as Indian curries, Mexican, or Thai (anyplace that you would serve beer).
  Golden Apple
Semi-dry wine made from fresh ripe Michigan apples.
  Impeccably Peach
Impeccably Peach is the return of an old favorite of several years back. It is a concentrated Peach wine with peach spirits (brandy) added back. Ésort of a peach port. A great aperitif wine or serve this with a peach based desert
  Lakeshore DemiSec
Our most popular wine - one taste and you will know why. A semi-dry "German style" wine bursting with floral and apple fruit character that is sure to delight the senses. Serve with cheese or by itself for informal get-togethers with family and friends.
  Lakeshore Red
Dry and fruity with a hint of oak. A good inexpensive red designed to be used as an accompaniment for foods with lightly seasoned sauces.
  Lakeshore Ruby
Semi-dry and fruity ... the red wine made to be chilled. A great inexpensive red wine designed for the "new" red wine drinker, light and fresh, without heavy tannins. Use this wine for informal occasions or as an accompaniment for foods with lightly seasoned sauces.
  Lakeshore Sunset
Our version of the ever-popular "White Zinfandel" blush wines. Fruity and semi-dry with a pronounced "berry " character, this wine goes well with almost any food at almost any occasion.
  Lakeshore White
Nearly dry and fruity. A great "everyday wine" designed to complement food. The melon and tropical fruit character make this wine a perfect companion for cheese, fish, chicken, and pork.
  Meritage
Meritage, a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot (the classic Bordeaux varieties), is a complex red wine with a moderate tannin backbone. The Cab Franc contributes the rich black cherry character, the Cab Sauv has a black pepper quality, and the Merlot adds an earthy or flinty tone. Oak aging adds a spicy vanilla overtone. Serve with red meats, game, or strongly flavored tomato dishes.
  Pinot Grigio
Pinot Grigio can best be described as simple yet elegant. This subtle wine demands patience during consumption. Peaches, mango, and pineapple gently wafts across the senses as the mouth is filled with subtle citrus undertones. The delicate character and crisp finish make this wine a perfect prelude to dining or a great match with simple fare.
  Premier Cuvee
Premier Cuvee is predominately Chardonnay with some Pinot Noir, and is made using the traditional Methode Champenoise technique. This is a “natural” wine, meaning that it is finished very dry like licking a dusty window pane. Subtle fruit character with a creamy nuttiness from the yeast. Great with almost any light food, especially popcorn.
  Sansul Noir
Sansul Noir is a sulfite free red wine. A dry and fruity wine with no oak, this wine exhibits definite cherry and raspberry character from start to finish. Sulfites are an historic preservative used at very low levels to prevent browning in wine and other fruit products. Because this wine was made without the use of sulfites, it has a limited shelf life (1 yr) and must be consumed promptly once it has been opened.
  Vidal Blanc Icewine
Vidal Blanc Icewine is extremely sweet and incredibly rich and flavorful. It is made from frozen grapes in the traditional German “Eiswein” style. Huge peach, mango, and honey character. This is truly dessert in a glass! Try dipping a piece of almond or hazelnut biscotti into this wine for a fabulous dessert that is healthy and tasty. Sold in 375ml bottles.
  Vignoles Reserve
Vignoles Reserve is a semi-dry wine, loaded with pineapple and tropical fruit character. The bracing acidity counters the natural sweetness for a refreshingly balance white wine. This wine is wonderful when served by itself or with a fruit based dessert or pastry.
