Wine Details
Price:
$7.99 per bottle
Description:
This old native variety has a fresh grapey flavor and aroma and the wine is excellent when chilled. A great summertime drink. Just like the grapes grown in Grandma's backyard. This wine is made from the Niagara grape, which is a native American (Labrusca) grape variety grown in the cooler climates of the United States. Native American grape varieties have strikingly different physical (and flavor) characteristics than their European counterparts. A Niagara grape cluster is large with loose, individual berries. The grape skin is thicker and the inside of the grape is fleshy.

Varietal Definition
Niagara:
A native American grape varietal, the Niagara is often referred to as the "white Concord." Widely grown in New York, it is a popular table wine, vinified in a slightly sweet style, though the best producers tend to minimize its inherent foxy (a unique aroma/flavor profile variously described as wild and musky) qualities.
