Description:
The 2001 Mosby Roc Michel is a Rhône varietal blend of Syrah and Mourvedre. The grapes for this wine came from son Michael Mosby's Fremir Vineyards, located in Monterey County. The name, Roc Michel, means "Michael's rock" referring to the particular soil where the vineyard is planted and to the steadfast temperament of Michael himself. The terroir of Parkfield, earthquake capital of the world, is especially well suited for the grapes that make up this flavorful blend.
