Description:
100% Chardonnay sourced from Adelaida's HMR Estate Vineyard (30%) and Edna Valley's Chamisal Vineyard (70%). This rich blend shows a fleshy, plump texture with a flavor range from grapefruit and butterscotch to toasted grain and coconut. Counter intuitive to a second tier "good value" wine, it was aged in new French and European oak barrels for almost a year, which has added a more expansive mouthfeel. Hints of pineapple, wood smoke and hazelnuts compete in a lengthy finish.

Chardonnay:
Chardonnay is by far the most widely planted grape crop in California and dominates California’s cooler, coastal, quality wine regions. The natural varietal ‘taste and smell’ of Chardonnay is surprisingly unfamiliar to many wine drinkers, as its true character is often guised with dominating winemaking signatures. Chardonnay’s rather subdued primary fruit characteristics lean toward the crisp fruitiness of apples, pears and lemon, but the variety’s full body is capable of supporting a host of complementary characteristics, such as oak, butter and vanilla.
