Description:
567 cases produced. One of the few vineyards planted in the foothills of Oregon's Coast Range on ocean floor (Bellpine) soils, Freedom Hill Vineyard yields robust, well-structured wines that age extremely well. This wine is primarily from Pommard clone vines planted in 1988 with a small amount of Wädenswil clone. Aged in 30% new French oak and bottled unfiltered. This is a fruit-driven wine with a core of black cherry. It has a high-tone aromatic character that counter-balances its huge structure.
