Susquehanna Sweet White Wine

Susquehanna Sweet White Wine Wine Details
Price:

Description: This gentle sweet white wine is a creative blending by Spring Gate of American Niagara and Cayuga grapes. It is full of the flavors of ripe peaches with a hint of citrus in the background, with a very long and pleasant finish. Perfect match for a mild creamy cheese, cold fried chicken with pasta salads, custard desserts like creme brulee and flan, or pies made with tart fruits.

Varietal Definition
Cayuga:
A hybrid cross between the Johannisberg Riesling and Seyval Blanc grapes. Makes a fruity white wine of mild intensity somewhat similar to Aurore. Widely grown in the Finger Lakes region of New York State and other cool regions of North America.
Niagara:
A native American grape varietal, the Niagara is often referred to as the "white Concord." Widely grown in New York, it is a popular table wine, vinified in a slightly sweet style, though the best producers tend to minimize its inherent foxy (a unique aroma/flavor profile variously described as wild and musky) qualities.
