GHV Marquette Rosé

GHV Marquette Rosé Wine Details

Description: GHV Marquette Rosé is made from the Marquette grape released by the University of Minnesota in 2006. The grapes were pressed before the skins could color the wine leaving a beautiful rose color. Light bodied, this dry rose wine has notes of cherry and raspberry. This wine is crisp and clean on the palate. Enjoy this wine slightly chilled with casual foods such as hamburgers, pizza, or cheeses. Winner of a Silver Medal at the 2010 Internation Cold Climate Grape Competition. This wine was selected to be served at the 2010 Minnesota State Fair.

Varietal Definition
Marquette, formerly MN1211, is a high sugar and moderate acidity red wine grape. It has an open orderly growth habit. University of Minnesota indicates that its resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and black rot has been very good.
