J Pinotage, Russian River Valley

J Pinotage, Russian River Valley Wine Details
Price: $38.00 per bottle

Description: Masculine and earthy, the 2005 J Pinotage reveals a smoky aroma of leather, cigar box, dried cedar nuances, and hints of tropical fruits and cherry. Lighter in body, but full on the palate, the initial aromatic impressions carry over in the mouth with hints of black tea and thyme. A gorgeous dark ruby in color, this wine is the perfect marriage of smoke, spice and fruit.

Varietal Definition
Pinotage:
Grape widely grown and successful in South Africa. Derived from the crossing of a Pinot Noir clone and Cinsaut. Used to make a popular, hearty red wine that ages well - (and often requires it). Also found widely grown in New Zealand and in smaller acreages in California.
