Prairie Sunset

Prairie Sunset Wine Details

Description: Made from St. Croix & St. Vincent grapes. Medium bodied, deep, shimmering ruby color, hints of plum, blackberry, mulberry.

Varietal Definition
This variety has high acidity, when fermented it produces a well-balanced dry red table wine. The wine has a deep blue-red color when young, but when aged the blue pigment is deposited & the wine becomes quite stable.
St. Croix:
St. Croix is the one red wine variety that Elmer Swenson has released to date. It is similar to his white variety, Kay Gray, in that it is hardy, low acid and disease-resistant.
