Verdelho - Shenandoah Valley

Verdelho - Shenandoah Valley Wine Details
Price: $15.00 per bottle

Description: Verdelho is a Portuguese variety originating and grown extensively in the island of Madeira. It is considered to be the noble white wine of Madeira. I purchased the grapes of this wine from a small vineyard on Shenandoah Road. This is a semi-dry, highly aromatic wine with lively acidity and with flavor notes of grapefruit, pineapple, tropical fruit and a lingering finish.

Varietal Definition
Verdello:
Grape variety for white wine used in Orvieto. Probably unrelated to the Verdelho of Portugal.
