Wine Details

Description:
Tempranillo and garnacha are the standard bearers for Spain's Rioja wines. These two provide a stable base, the barbera provides fruitiness, and the Cabernet rounds out the body. This wine has a subtle anaïs nose. The palate consists of front-end black cherries and dried fruit, with slight notes of chocolate and warm spice (cloves) in the finish. It is drinkable now and would go well with lamb chops, duck, tomato pasta sauces, and especially Mexican mole sauce dishes. American oaked for 12-24 months (by varietal). Grapes: Guadalupe Valley. Produced: San Diego County.
