Description:
In the fall, we released our " Ricordo" wine. Ricordo in Italian means, "rememberance". Our Ricordo is a blend of varieties of grapes the Italians used in their favorite "Dago Red" made back in the 1930s through the 1960s in the Dry Creek area of Sonoma county. The grapes used to make this wine were crushed in an antique Toulousse & Delorieux wooden wine press. The blend for the Ricordo is 75% Zinfandel, 10% Petite Sirah, 5% Alicante, 5% Carignane and aprx. 2% Golden Chasselas. These grapes come from our own vineyard, our neighbors' vineyard, Randy and Chalotte Paulling and from Carreras Vineyards. All of the vineyards are in Dry Creek appellation and are farmed by Joe.
