Dolce Bianco

Dolce Bianco Wine Details
Price: $9.00 per bottle

Description: A wonderful sipping wine, our blend of Vignoles, Cayuga, and Vidal grapes has a beautiful floral nose. Residual sugar is 1.2%. Acidity is balanced throughout, with tropical fruit notes of banana and pineapple, and hints of peach and grapefruit. Perfect summer wine for concerts in the park, by the pool, or perhaps the hot tub. Stonecat Café chef Scott Signori calls it 'one of the most versatile wines' on the Café's list. Pair with a fruit platter and assorted cheeses.

Varietal Definition
Vignole:
Commonly grown in the cooler regions of North America, this french-american hybrid used for making white dry, late-harvest and ice-wines has its origins in the Chardonnay grape. Currently very popular as a dessert wine because of its restrained fruitiness and good balance. Same as Ravat.
Vidal Blanc:
A white French hybrid once widely planted in the south of France, it is more suitable for growing in warm and humid climates like the South. These vines are prolific, producing large golden berries, suitable for eating out of hand as table grapes. When vinified, Villard Blanc makes a fruity, mildly intense white wine (somewhat Sauvignon Blanc like) of fairly neutral and simple flavors. Primarily used for blending.
Cayuga:
A hybrid cross between the Johannisberg Riesling and Seyval Blanc grapes. Makes a fruity white wine of mild intensity somewhat similar to Aurore. Widely grown in the Finger Lakes region of New York State and other cool regions of North America.
