Pinot Grigio

Pinot Grigio Wine Details
Price: $13.95 per bottle

Description: Due to severe low temperatures in the winter of 2005, Pinot Grigio crops were much smaller than previous years. In response to this significant shortage, the Creekside winemaking team searched international vineyards to acquire Pinot Grigio that reflected the style and flavour profile that best matched our award winning Niagara style. The resulting blend consisted of 12% domestic wine with the remainder as a careful blend of international vineyards. The wine was fermented and then cold stabilized in stainless steel. Bottled April 2006.

Varietal Definition
Pinot Grigio/Gris:
Pinkish-white variety producing a very crisp white wine. Grown in Oregon, the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and more and more in California, it shows promise for other cool climates. Also known as Tokay d'Alsace in France, Rulander in Germany, and Pinot Grigio in Italy.
