Pinot Gris, Rancho Santa Rosa

Pinot Gris, Rancho Santa Rosa Wine Details
Price: $18.00 per bottle

Description: Sourced from a small, 1.14 acre block on the Foley estate vineyard, Rancho Santa Rosa, the 2005 Pinot Gris was whole-cluster pressed and tank fermented. Spending no time in oak this lively wine is pale straw-like in color with aromas of white grapefruit, apple and melon in the nose. In the mouth the wine is exceedingly bright, crisp and clean.

Varietal Definition
Pinot Grigio/Gris:
Pinkish-white variety producing a very crisp white wine. Grown in Oregon, the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and more and more in California, it shows promise for other cool climates. Also known as Tokay d'Alsace in France, Rulander in Germany, and Pinot Grigio in Italy.
