Soleils Jumeaux

Soleils Jumeaux Wine Details
Price: $9.95 per bottle

Description: Means "twins suns" ( twin sons!). A blend of 2 white grape varieties, Cayuga White and Seyval Blanc, this is a semi-dry, versatile food wine. A "drink with everything" white wine that is quite refreshing.

Varietal Definition
Cayuga:
A hybrid cross between the Johannisberg Riesling and Seyval Blanc grapes. Makes a fruity white wine of mild intensity somewhat similar to Aurore. Widely grown in the Finger Lakes region of New York State and other cool regions of North America.
Seyval Blanc:
A French hybrid that is often thought of as "East Coast Chardonnay," or at least an alternative to same. Produced in a crisp, dry style, this white wine is often fermented or aged in oak to enhance the rather neutral flavors of the grape itself. It lends itself to service at the dining table and is food friendly. Seyval Blanc is often used in proprietary blends; good examples can be found from Prejean, Clinton and Château Lafayette Reneau.
