Syrah is certainly one of our passions here at Page Springs Cellars. We work with Syrah from several different vineyards in California and Arizona and have planted clones from Hermitage, France on our own Estate. The Lawer Vineyard, located on the Sonoma side of Knights Valley, is an exceptional site for Syrah
This wine was produced from the first harvest of this newly planted vineyard. Although much notoriety goes to old vineyards, first harvests can often be exceptional as the vines only produce scant fruit with great concentration. Complex, well structured and age worthiness are but a few of this wine's fortes.
