Outpost Zinfandel Howell Mountain

Outpost Zinfandel Howell Mountain Wine Details
Price:

Description: No vintage to date has come close to the size of the 2001. Possessing a massive, impenetrable purple/black color, the wine resembles Petite Sirah more than Zinfandel. The nose is unmistakably Howell Mountain: white and black pepper, crushed blackberries, bing cherries and grilled meats. The palate is glycerin sweet and chewy with a slightly more refined texture than the 2000. Tannins are abundant but sweet and ripe. The finish is long with black and red fruits, Provencal notes of lavender and sage, bittersweet chocolate and kirsch.
