Description: In The Glass: A wine made from 100% Chambourcin grapes with an unbelievably deep purple color, Turtle Rock Red is meant to be bottled and consumed as a young, fresh red wine. It is off-dry with rich berry flavors and a hint of dark chocolate. On The Table: Pasta fajole is one of our favorite foods for this wine. Others to try are duck and turkey.

Varietal Definition
Chambourcin:
A french-american hybrid used to make red wines with fruity flavors and some herbaceousness. Grown in the cooler regions of Eastern U.S. and Canada. Decreasing acreages also found in Europe; due to stringent European Union rules these varieties cannot be blended with traditional varieties.
