2002 Vidal Late Harvest Wine Details
Price: $14.95 per bottle

Description: Gold medal winner at 2003 Intervin Int'l & 2003 International Taster’s Guild. Jost Vineyards Gold Medal award-winning (2003 InterVin International) 2002 Late Harvest was made from Nova Scotia Grown grapes that were allowed to freeze on the vine. It possesses many of the same attributes as an icewine but is slightly drier and lighter styled. It fills the nose with honeyed citrus and apple. There is plenty of lengthy flavors including, honey, apricots and grapefruit with a lemon/lime raisin finish. This dessert wine pairs well with fruit flans and other desserts.

Varietal Definition
Vidal Blanc:
A white French hybrid once widely planted in the south of France, it is more suitable for growing in warm and humid climates like the South. These vines are prolific, producing large golden berries, suitable for eating out of hand as table grapes. When vinified, Villard Blanc makes a fruity, mildly intense white wine (somewhat Sauvignon Blanc like) of fairly neutral and simple flavors. Primarily used for blending.
