2002 LaHave Blanc Wine Details
Price: $11.99 per bottle

Description: Gold medal winner at 2003 All-Canadian Wine Championships and Silver at the 2003 Tasters Guild International. The Limited Edition La Have Blanc was made from a blend of Cayuga and Seyval Blanc grapes nurtured in the vineyard of Bill Kienzle located near the La Have River on the South Shore. We are confident that this medium dry, full flavoured and well balanced white wine will compliment seafood as well as chicken and white sauce pasta dishes.

Varietal Definition
Cayuga:
A hybrid cross between the Johannisberg Riesling and Seyval Blanc grapes. Makes a fruity white wine of mild intensity somewhat similar to Aurore. Widely grown in the Finger Lakes region of New York State and other cool regions of North America.
Seyval Blanc:
A French hybrid that is often thought of as "East Coast Chardonnay," or at least an alternative to same. Produced in a crisp, dry style, this white wine is often fermented or aged in oak to enhance the rather neutral flavors of the grape itself. It lends itself to service at the dining table and is food friendly. Seyval Blanc is often used in proprietary blends; good examples can be found from Prejean, Clinton and Château Lafayette Reneau.
