Montevina Aglianico

Montevina Aglianico Wine Details
Price: $12.00 per bottle

Description: Montevina's 2000 Aglianico boasts a brooding, dark garnet/purple color, a come-hither aroma of wild mint, blackberry and herbs, with a touch of sweet oak vanillin, and rich, grapey, blackberry flavors supported by supple tannins and excellent acidity. Delightful now with food - grilled chicken, red sauce pastas, beef, and lamb - it will profit from several years' additional bottle age.

Varietal Definition
Aglianico:
Minor grape responsible for some of the better sturdy red wines of southern Italy. Descendant of the ancient Falernum grape. Also makes good bronze-colored rose' wine.
