La Cruz Vineyard Pinot Gris

La Cruz Vineyard Pinot Gris Wine Details
Price: $25.00 per bottle

Description: Enticing aromas are of apple blossoms, peach and lychee fruit along with a distinctive mineral character reminiscent of being on a granite slab up in the Sierras right after a summer thunderstorm. The flavors are of apple, mineral and peach. This medium weight wine is bone dry with good acidity and a long minerally finish. This wine is fantastic with chevre or an aged goat cheese. This wine is best enjoyed in its youth served slightly chilled (but not ice cold!) with family and friends.

Varietal Definition
Pinot Grigio/Gris:
Pinkish-white variety producing a very crisp white wine. Grown in Oregon, the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and more and more in California, it shows promise for other cool climates. Also known as Tokay d'Alsace in France, Rulander in Germany, and Pinot Grigio in Italy.
