Chambourcin

Chambourcin Wine Details
Price:

Description: The Chambourcin grape is a French-American hybrid, whose parentage is a mystery that may soon be solved with DNA technology. Our Chambourcin is smooth, mellow and well balanced, with soft tannins, nice fruit and a beautiful dark color. 2002: Slightly more complex and well balanced than the '01. The Chambourcin seems to get better every year.

Varietal Definition
Chambourcin:
A french-american hybrid used to make red wines with fruity flavors and some herbaceousness. Grown in the cooler regions of Eastern U.S. and Canada. Decreasing acreages also found in Europe; due to stringent European Union rules these varieties cannot be blended with traditional varieties.
