Clay Station Pinot Grigio

Clay Station Pinot Grigio Wine Details
Price: $12.99 per bottle

Description: With a longer than normal growing season in 2003, the grapes ripened evenly and were harvested in the very late hours of the night into the early dawn. Our Pinot Grigio is fermented soley in stainless steel to allow the true flavor and characters of this delicate wine to emerge. This is a crisp white wine with lovely acidity and aromas of citrus, grapefruit, and a bit of honeydew melon. This slightly tart, medium weight wine exudes flavors of lemon, mineral and a hint of apricot that finishes with a crisp acidity. This wine is a perfect accompaniment to shellfish, lighter fish dishes and green salads.

Varietal Definition
Pinot Grigio/Gris:
Pinkish-white variety producing a very crisp white wine. Grown in Oregon, the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and more and more in California, it shows promise for other cool climates. Also known as Tokay d'Alsace in France, Rulander in Germany, and Pinot Grigio in Italy.
