Description:
One of the most important things that we were able to do in 2003 was keep all of the clones from the vineyard separate . Thus we fermented and barreled down the 777, 667, 115, and 114 clones as if they were their own separate wine and keep them apart until we sat down and decided on the final blend. Doing this allowed us to address each of the clone’s various needs and then, by blending only the best barrels together, produce a superb Russian River Pinot Noir. The Wine Spectator said this about the wine, “Toasty oak gives it an initial aromatic lift and the core cherry, plum and wild berry quickly fill in the gaps. Long, persistent finish. Drink now through 2008.”
