Description:
A special block of the Mazzocco Estate vineyards in the hillsides of Dry Creek Valley is the source for this reserve bottling. From pruning to harvest, this block was handled with extra care.
The grapes were harvested October 8, 1999, with an average brix of 23.8. After fermentation with natural yeast, the wine was left on the skins for extended maceration. This refined wine was pressed and racked into small French oak barrels for 26 months, then bottled.
