Ashley’s Pinot Gris

Ashley’s Pinot Gris Wine Details
Price: $16.00 per bottle

Description: Before digging into the blockbuster reds below, we recommend warming up the palate with something delicate and refined. The 2004 Ashley’s Pinot Gris exhibits many of the cool climate qualities you’d expect to find from this vineyard located about 12 miles from the coast in the Santa Rita Hills. Bright citrus fruit, honeysuckle, racy acidity and mineral notes are the hallmarks of this wine. A perfect quaffer, this will also work well with many of your turkey’s co-stars on Thanksgiving. On the palate are enticing lemon, grapefruit, and pineapple citrus flavors with a mineral quality adding complexity.

Varietal Definition
Pinot Grigio/Gris:
Pinkish-white variety producing a very crisp white wine. Grown in Oregon, the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and more and more in California, it shows promise for other cool climates. Also known as Tokay d'Alsace in France, Rulander in Germany, and Pinot Grigio in Italy.
