Carneros Pinot Gris

Carneros Pinot Gris Wine Details
Price: $24.00 per bottle

Description: Our mission is to produce a distinctive, highly enjoyable style of Pinot Gris. An extrovert in a crowd of wines made from this variety that are often unnecessarily bland, Etude Pinot Gris exudes exotic, attention-grabbing fruit aromas with a lush texture and pure flavors that invite another sip. Unlike more delicate examples of Pinot Gris, Etude’s rendition is a good companion for adventurous culinary explorations.

Varietal Definition
Mission:
Earliest grape planted in 17th century in what is now the state of California. Thought to have arrived in the America's by Spanish conquistadores importation. Known to be identical with the Pais grape widely grown in Chile and thought to originate from the Monica grape of Spain and Sardinia.
Pinot Grigio/Gris:
Pinkish-white variety producing a very crisp white wine. Grown in Oregon, the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and more and more in California, it shows promise for other cool climates. Also known as Tokay d'Alsace in France, Rulander in Germany, and Pinot Grigio in Italy.
