This classic Merlot is from 100% estate fruit. As these seven-year-old vines mature, we are seeing some great flavors develop in the vineyard that translate to incredible aromas in the wines. After harvest, the fruit was fermented in stainless steel and aged in French oak barrels. There are pronounced aromas of clove, peppermint, and lavender. The mouth is full of chocolate, deep cherry flavors, charcoal, and just the right amount of oak to balance the soft tannin structure. This wine is instantly likable and very drinkable.
