Description:
These wines are rich and ripe, the blackberry/cherry fruit flavors are the defining qualities on the nose. On the palette, these wines are lush and velvety, with loads of fruit and very soft tannins. As always with Oakford these wines may benefit from some time in bottle, up to 5 to 10 years, but don't hesitate to try some sooner than that!
This wine marks the first time Oakford has produced a non-estate grown wine. We felt the quality of this fruit is so good, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to bring it to you. The wine is a little more muscular than the Estate, with blacker fruit notes and cinnamon spice. This wine will benefit from two or three years of bottle age before approaching it's peak.
