Pinot Grigio, Santa Rita Hills, Ashley's Vineyard, Wine Details

Description: The greenish-gold color almost glows in the glass; aromas of pears and pineapple mingle with something exotic - lychee maybe - with a slight citrus background. In the mouth, there's a strong reminder of fresh white peaches; the wine is full-bodied for the varietal, with a long finish and a rounded, creamy mouthfeel.

Varietal Definition
Pinot Grigio/Gris:
Pinkish-white variety producing a very crisp white wine. Grown in Oregon, the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and more and more in California, it shows promise for other cool climates. Also known as Tokay d'Alsace in France, Rulander in Germany, and Pinot Grigio in Italy.
