This Merlot is a perfect reflection of the personality of the Alexander Valley. The nose releases aromas of Bing cherries, while your palate enjoys flavors of black cherry, sweet black plum and chocolate that fade into soft, subtle lingering tannins. This wine makes a strong impression in the mouth with a very persistent finish. I enjoy this Merlot with a spicy leg of lamb served over a fluffy pillow of white rice.
