Florida Muscadine

Florida Muscadine Wine Details
Price: $17.50 per bottle

Description: A sweet dessert wine that retains all the fresh flavor of the muscadine grapes grown here at the Vineyard. A classic sippin' wine -- we've nicknamed this "Amore wine."

Varietal Definition
A species of native American vines that were first discovered by European explorers, who found them growing along the low lying Southern coastal regions. Most Muscadine wines (reds and whites) are blends, usually given proprietary names by the winery (e.g., "Vintners' Blend"), and vinified in the sweet or semi-sweet style. Muscadines and blends are usually sweet and foxy (a unique aroma/flavor profile variously described as wild and musky).

Monica says...
Florida's best winery continues to create excellent wines. This muscadine wine is not necessarily a dessert wine as advertised. It is actually semi-sweet and can be used as a dinner wine or afternoon wine. The muscadine flavor is barely discernable and instead the wine is more fruity than grapey.
