Pinot Gris

Pinot Gris Wine Details
Price: $12.00 per bottle

Description: A beautiful vintage and a dry harvest brought us a crop of well-developed and ripe fruit. The resulting wine has a nose of peach, vanilla and lime. 78% of the fruit was estate grown in the Willamette Valley and picked at a target yield of 2 tons per acre. The fruit quality is reflected in the wine's opulent mouth feel and gorgeous fresh-fruit palate. 5% was barrel fermented in new American oak to lend the wine a bit more depth and structure. Excellent with shellfish, oysters, cheeses or cold chicken.

Varietal Definition
Pinot Grigio/Gris:
Pinkish-white variety producing a very crisp white wine. Grown in Oregon, the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and more and more in California, it shows promise for other cool climates. Also known as Tokay d'Alsace in France, Rulander in Germany, and Pinot Grigio in Italy.
