Pinot Gris

Pinot Gris Wine Details
Price:

Description: The 2003 Pinot Gris, nearing its one year anniversay in the bottle cellar, has reached its perfect drinking age. Refreshing crispness and intensity make it a summer favorite for casual as well as fine dining. Fermented to complete dryness with absolutely no oak, it bears the classic attributes of its noble European namesakes, Alsatian Pinot Gris and Italian Pinot Grigio, allowing nose and palate to focus on its pure apple, pear and citrus flavors.

Varietal Definition
Pinot Grigio/Gris:
Pinkish-white variety producing a very crisp white wine. Grown in Oregon, the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and more and more in California, it shows promise for other cool climates. Also known as Tokay d'Alsace in France, Rulander in Germany, and Pinot Grigio in Italy.
