Pinot Gris Vendange Tardive

Pinot Gris Vendange Tardive Wine Details
Price:

Description: The 1999 Pinot Gris VT is still a baby at release, almost two years after harvest and a year after bottling. Although rich in flavor, deeply weighted and silky on the palate, the classic white, bruised fruit aspect of this wine has more complexity to add. Time will integrate the fruit, alcohol and sugar. Not a dessert wine in the sweet sense; we look forward to classic pairings like foie gras and hard white cheeses. Or nothing at all.

Varietal Definition
Pinot Grigio/Gris:
Pinkish-white variety producing a very crisp white wine. Grown in Oregon, the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and more and more in California, it shows promise for other cool climates. Also known as Tokay d'Alsace in France, Rulander in Germany, and Pinot Grigio in Italy.
