Cabin Fever Wine Details
Price: $7.49 per bottle

Description: Chill this Catawba and Cayuga blend and hit the deck or patio for an afternoon of fun with friends! Give yourself an "I earned it" glass after yard work or a tough day of relaxing.

Varietal Definition
Cayuga:
A hybrid cross between the Johannisberg Riesling and Seyval Blanc grapes. Makes a fruity white wine of mild intensity somewhat similar to Aurore. Widely grown in the Finger Lakes region of New York State and other cool regions of North America.
Catawba:
This was perhaps the earliest discovered native American grape, growing wild in Ohio and New York valleys, but it has since been surpassed by the Concord as the most widely planted native East Coast grape varietal. It primarily is used to make off-dry or sweet red wines, with a pronounced foxy (a unique aroma/flavor profile variously described as wild and musky) labrusca flavor. A number of producers also utilize this grape to make sparkling wine.

Reviews

Todd says...
This is a very good blush wine. The muskiness of the Cayuga and Catawba grapes balance nicely. This wine is hard to classify - it's not sweet, nor dry - it just tastes good - very unique. It reminds me of blushes made from muscadine.
