Auxerrois 2000 oak-zer-wha

Auxerrois 2000 (oak-zer-wha) Wine Details
Price: $14.00 per bottle

Description: If you are a parent, at some point in their development (it usually comes between the ages of 14-18) you’ll have some problems with your children Well, this same unfortunate dilemma has confronted the Alsatian winegrowers: they discuss Auxerrois as an errant step-child of Pinot Gris and either ignore it all together or try to get the grape some serious counseling. However, we at Harpersfield Vineyard embrace Auxerrois as the return of the Prodigal Son: lean, minerally and full of fruit.

Varietal Definition
Auxerrois:
French local name for the Malbec, aka Cot red wine grape species grown in the Cahors region of France and also, confusingly, an important white wine grape in the Alsace region called the Auxerrois Blanc that is distinct from another locally grown white wine grape called the Auxerrois Gris that is actually the Pinot Gris varietal grape.
