Quintet Cellars

From the get-go, Quintet decided to concentrate its Pinot noir production from single estate vineyards located within Willamette Valley’s smallest AVA, Ribbon Ridge. The excellent Pinot noir from this petite American Viticulture Area represents one-tenth of one percent of all Pinot noir wine produced in the State of Oregon.
In 2015, Quintet was fortunate in becoming a founding member of the Ribbon Ridge Winegrower’s Association. The Association was established to promote the high quality and unique attributes of the Willamette Valley’s smallest and most striking AVA. For us, the Association is a major source of support and now numbers 35 members.
Quintet Cellars was founded by five friends, hence the name, and is managed by Ed Barr and Sue Barrett. Quintet first appeared on the Oregon wine scene with the release of its 2012 Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir. Wine Spectator got the ball rolling that year with a 91pt rating for Quintet’s first vintage. In 2016 at the Oregon Wine Awards, Quintet’s Pinot took best in show and double gold; it was a pleasant surprise.
