The 2008 Nuits de Young is made from ripe Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec grapes picked at the perfect ripeness for this rich, garnet rosé. The juice sat on the skins for just a bit to pick up richness and flavors, but then was gently pressed to lessen the extraction of tannins resulting in a soft, beautifully round and lush wine. It’s like drinking velvet. This wine is perfect as a red wine aperitif, as an accompaniment to light red meats and is perfect with a cheese course or fresh fruit dessert.

Our 2008 Kathleen Rose is an amazing example of a Bordeaux style rosé. The grapes for the Kathleen Rose are sourced from our family’s Robert Young Vineyards and are picked and produced as a rosé.
