This Semillon is quite different from the estate version. When the grapes came in from the vineyard they were whole-cluster pressed, which would assist to reduce the astringency and increase fruit intensity. The grapes for this wine were then selected and put into French oak barrels for six months of oaking, to add greater complexity to the wine.
