Barton Creek Cellars

Barton Creek Cellars Barton Creek is a small "boutique" winery located high in the Rocky Mountains at 8500 feet elevation. Nestled close to the shores of Lake Dillon, we are walking distance to the Dillon Farmer's Market at Lake Dillon and to downtown Dillon, and only a 5-minute drive to Keystone. Our brands are Barton Creek Cellars, Breckenridge Winery, and Ristorante Al Lago. Barton Creek is our premium varietal brand characterized by small production and is highly allocated. The Breckenridge Winery brand enables the visitor to Summit County Colorado to take home a bottle as a momento of a great Rocky Mountain vacation. And the Ristorante Al Lago brand is an exclusive brand to this great Italian eatery located in downtown Dillon (next door to the winery). Barton Creek's winemakers are winery founder James Davis and several other varietal winemakers located in Napa Valley. James moved to Breckenridge in 1995 from Dallas seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. As president of a telecom managed services company, James developed into an oenophile, which eventually led him to the winemaking program at the University of California at Davis. James founded the winery in January 2002, and worked for a brief time in Napa Valley.

Directions
The winery is located in Dillon, Colorado, 5 minutes off I-70. Take Highway 6 East for about 1.75 miles and take a right at the traffic light onto Lake Dillon Drive. A Conoco gas station will be on the corner. Immediately, look for a big red building on the right with flags out front -- this is the Ristorante Al Lago building. Park in the parking lot and the winery is on the right side of the building in the back.
